TIS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! *starts to sing Christmas Carol* Oh wait...that's not for a couple of months yet. Alas, it is a wonderful time of year. The beginning of a new year of school, finding out where your classes are, meeting new people...which in our case is only the first years cause all us old timers know everyone already :P...figuring out which classes are going to be a pain in the arse, oh the good times. BUT the Exec Council has been working tirelessly over the summer to make this year of the Archaeology Society the best it has ever been. And what a year it will be. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to ask any of us or send the arch society a message on facebook. I shall keep you updated as to when the first meeting is and I hope to see all of you there!

Who are We?
The WLU Archaeology Society is a group for students who are majoring or are interested in the field of archeology. Our goal is to provide opportunities for like-minded people to get together outside of class, meet new friends, share experiences, learn and just have a fun time! The Society hosts a variety of social and academic events throughout the year including parties, trips, movie nights and guest lecturers. We also put out a newsletter, The Point, which features articles, jokes and comics submitted by members. It is also a place for students to share their field school experiences with the Society.
The Society is made up of an executive committee, which plans and organizes events, and members who participate in and help run these events. The cost of membership is $5.00 and is usually paid at the beginning of the Fall term. (please check out the "Executive" section of the page to learn about the members of this year's committee) In addition to the Executive, the Society also offers positions to new students as first year representatives who communicate information to the first classes.
